She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
John 8:11
Separate from them in mind, heart, and spirit, Jesus did not stand with the hypocritical judgment of the Pharisees.
To stone the woman caught in Adulterous acts.
And Jesus, seeing the woman, advocated for her, who was seen as worthy by men to condemn.
“He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”
Once they dispersed, the only ones left were the woman and He without sin.
And in His authority, he chose to forgive the woman and not condemn her.
In this, we see the actions of Jesus and men.
The Pharisees’ actions were not reflective of God.
Jesus is the First of many, the First New Creation.
A human body, dwelt in by the Holy Spirit.
We see, in Him, the life of one dwelt in by the Holy Spirit.
Preachers and teachers today are like the Pharisees.
Their hearts and actions do not reflect God, even though they shout they are doing God’s work.
We see, then, through Jesus, a goal God has for His children:
An understanding that surpasses the need to hypocritically judge another, remembering that we were forgiven for our darkness.
The love of His, that seeks to forgive and is gracious.
A love that doesn’t compromise the righteousness of God placed in us and lived out by Him, who it is.
Where the need for others’ ears to be tickled does not cause us to fall, and we continue to share the TRUTH; which is love.
You cannot attempt to reflect God with your efforts.
He has to live through you.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20
Most preachers and teachers today reflect that the Holy Spirit does not live in them.
Jesus says it is better for those who cause His to stumble, to tie a millstone around their necks.
Depicting the severity of misleading a child of God, and His distaste for it that He continues to say, this misleader may as well drown to the depth of the sea.
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Matthew 18:6
He does not intend, nor will He ever, send you someone who causes you to stumble, even in your belief of His love for you.
We will all fall short at times, as we are learning creatures. And for His Children, we are growing.
But what does that mean for the consistently inconsistent, especially in their knowledge, understanding, and experience of The Lord Jesus?
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Romans 8:29
Not that you should or could try, but will become as decided by God.
