I never understood what this meant
Now I do.
When life gives you a sour moment, something Bitter. You take it and you make something sweet.
You add water. And you add sugar. Not only that but you only use a portion of that lemon to make lemonade. That means that no matter what life throws your way, there is always only so many things you can control. And with what you can control, you make it the best way you can and throw out the rest. More lemons will grow somewhere else. You just keep doing the same thing. Eventually you realize you’ve been sipping on goodness while the rest never got the best of you like it used to.
I just realized all of this as I was writing. I never sat to decipher what it meant to take life’s lemons and make lemonade. I thought it was just a saying to make someone feel better. But after life’s lemons, I demanded to know how to make lemonade.
